Hi, everyone

I am bringing my parents, my husband, and my two teenagers to St Thomas in mid-August. None of us has ever been there before. I'm looking for a 2-3 BR, 2+ bath condo/villa rental. We prefer to be on or very close to the beach. I've been looking at the Anchorage, but their beach looks very small. Anybody have any suggestions for a rental, or any comments about the Anchorage? Thanks, I appreciate any and all suggestions.

Chris

Watergate Villas at Bolongo Bay is a nice site. The Brownings have 2 bedrooms units there. We rented the studio & it was fine. The price couldn't be beat & loved hanging at Iggies after a day on the beach or STJ. Of course I would chose a place on STJ but that will cost you more. The Brownings are lovely to deal with & have great resources listed in their condos. The pool is oceanside right outside your door & empty most days we were there. Bolongo Bay resort is next door with all their amenities at your disposal. Both places are old but still nice. Like most days in the islands, you only sleep there! It is a reasonable drive to Red Hook to eat, hang at bars or take ferry to STJ which we did most days. Google Watergate Villas Browning and check it out.

We just returned from 12 days in STT. Stayed at Crystal Cove condos located on Sapphire Beach, next to Sapphire Bay Resort. We got our rental through VRBO.com (vacation rental by owner). We have rented through VRBO for about 12 years, and never had a problem. The condo we rented was about 50 yards from the beach. The beach at Sapphire has a reef on the left side, and seagrass bed on the right. Every day you can snorkel with the sea turtles who come to "graze" on the seagrass. It was fantastic beyond words. The unit was not new, built in about 1969, but it was clean and nice. Two TVs, a king bed, two full baths, two large twin Murphy bed pulldowns in the living room, full kitchen with blender, Weber charcoal grill. Who could ask for more ? Not me, we will be going back to same place next year. I do not recommend Secret Harbour, only because it is so protected (no wind) that the bugs are hellacious, and no sea turtles!!
