Hi...visiting STX soon. We have a reservation at one of the Reef Condos on the east end. Has anyone stayed there or have any good or bad feed back for us? Any tips or suggestions for beaches or places to visit? What about rental cars? What is needed for a car and where should I go to rent this vehicle on the island? Any help would be appreciated.

Absolutely get a rental car while you're on STX. There is so much to see and do and it's spread out over the island. I've had the best experience with Judi of Croix ( http://judiofcroix.com/ ) for rental cars. They're so helpful!

I used to stay at the REEF and enjoyed it. Its safe, nice pool, pretty good beach, fun golf course and a great convience store. The units all have good views and catch the trade winds. I agree that Judi of Croix is a good place to rent a car.
Have fun and enjoy your stay in STX.

Suggestions for beaches or places to visit...

Whim Plantation is worth visiting; well maintained plantation ruins and great-house. Along the same line Lawaetz Family Museum is interesting.

St. George's Botanical Gardens, their grounds offer great strolling - check out the flowers, trees, bushes, fruit trees. The small area with local bushes and plants used for medicinal purposes is interesting; signs indicate how they were or in many cases are still used.

Kayaking at Salt River. Daytrip/snorkel at Buck Island. Diving is very good on St. Croix.

Walking tour of the various sites in Christiansted (the fort, scale house and so on), lunch in town and some shopping makes for a full day.

Catch the crab races in Christiansted in the late afternoon at Fort Christian Brew Pub, not sure which days. Get there early to get a table, have early dinner, try some of their beers. There is an article on this site about the crab races, check it out at https://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/articles/hermit_crab.php.

Check to see if Jazz in Frederiksted is going on while you are there, its monthly. Or other events. (Event calendar available under About USVI menu at the top of this site.)

Nice beaches... Cane Bay, Buccaneer, Chenay, Divi.

Enjoy. When you get back from your trip be sure to post on what you ended up doing; any tips you might have for future visitors based on your vacation. 😉

Islander that's a great list but I'd add,

A hike into Jacks and Issac's Bay, bring your snorkel.
A ride out to Point Udall.
A ride along the South Shore.

Don't forget about a drive through the rainforest and a visit to the Domino Club. IMHO, it's the most special place on the whole island. Norma is a pure joy.
