My wife and I are looking at an annivarsary trip to STX and need to choose between The Divi and Cheney Bay. Both look/sound very nice but I would really appreciate some info from people that have been there or live on the island. Please compare the two (beaches, staff, rooms, food/$, location, etc.).
Thanks in advance for any and all information.
Please feel free to email me directly if you feel this information is not appropriate for general posting.
Thanks!

IMO these two resorts are SO different that any comparison is meaningless. I suggest looking at the pictures available and reading trip advisor or something comparable.

Sorry, not much help.

There are several different discussions about both Cheney Bay and Divi on this web site. Do a "search"(top of page) for the past year and you will get some good information.

Cheney Bay is an older resort with small cottages. It has a well maintained beach with nice activities. The restaurant is pretty good and I have had some nice meals there. I have been told that some of the cottages are in need of upgrading. I can't confirm that. It is quiet and low key and a nice place to be sort of by yourself.

The Divi is also beach front. The beach is nice and there are activities available. The rooms along the beach look like a nice motel from the road, I don't know what condition they are in.
Divi has a small casino across the street, that I (my own protest) have never been inside. Divi appears to be more active and faster paced than Cheney Bay. (faster paced being relative)

You will get a lot more when you use the search engine on this page.
