I am returning to St. Thomas and St. John in just a few days. YIPPEE!
While I was there two years ago, I found information in a local travel guide book indicating code numbers to enter into my cell phone to activate the use while on the islands.
Does anyone know what that is?
Are you referring to *228 to update your phone's services?
Maybe? I remember it was something like that. When I arrived on St. Thomas the cell phone was not working and when I put a code in my cell phone worked. I will try it. Thanks! 😉
I was there back in February, and I have a Verizon account. There is limited service in Cruz Bay. I was not sucessful in getting service anywhere else.
Singlular is the carrier of choice there.
So I called my wife at 9:00 pm and she was just getting off work at 6:00. I on the other hand had nothing to do since 6 except sample Cruz Bay's finest libations....she was not impressed since she was driving with two kids in traffic...
Gotta love island time!
=)

I have Verizon and called recently to ask about service on St. John. Before you leave home you dial *228 to update your roaming connections. You don't need to enter any other codes to get service.
