Wondering if I will really NEED pants? Shorts ok? Do I need to pack a casual dress? Don't plan on any resort type dining. Unless there is someplace I absolutely shouldn't miss!:-) I plan on packing light. Can I get away with short, tees, and Tevas for a week on STJ/STT?

Yes! I always take too much. There are laundries on both STJ and STT. Year before last we dropped our dirty cloths at the laundry at Cruz Bay picked it up 4 hours later $7,(I tipped her 3) (about a pillowcase and a half full)

We were there 10 days and all I ever wore were shorts (or bathing suit), t-shirts, and Tevas. I packed 4 pairs of socks and they were never worn. It was painful putting the "long" pants back on for the flight home!

Depending on the time of year you are coming, some long pants (think lightweight cotton pull ons) might come in handy. If you are sunburned the breezes can be a little chilly. Also for the ladies, a lightweight shawl or cotton sweater over a sun dress can be helpful.

Hello,

Bring a couple capris with nice casual/summer tops to wear when you go to restaurants at night. Its a little dressier then shorts should you need to be for dining or if you are chilly. You can also wear them with a t-shirt during the day. One casual summer dress might be good, just in case you want to eat at a fancier restaurant. You can definately wear shorts/t-shirts all week(day) long.
