Yes, absolutely. And since that would be the only reason to bring hard soled shoes - skip it. We at at CB last year in flip flops, golf shirt and golf shorts. I recall a couple people in t-shirts believe it or not...

I don't often eat over on STJ, but here on STT I would not recommend flip-flops for any restaurant...unless it's the concession stand at Magens Beach. Even cheap sandals (open-toe) would be acepted over flip-flops. Just my 2 cents.

When I was on STJ, I wore my "dressy" flip flops (sandals) to dinner each night at Morgan's Mango, The Lime Inn, Panni Beach, etc... I didn't go to the places you mentioned but I would imagine that if you pack a "dressy" flip flop sandal with some embellishment (mine had rinestones), you'll be properly dressed for anywhere on STJ by most people's standards.

I think the question is about men in flip-flops, right? In that case, please DO skip the crystals and glitter dan 😉 However, I agree with CruzBayB about the ladies looking great in dressy flip-flips.

I am sure you would be fine in flip-flops and a nice collared shirt with a pair of neat chino shorts or the like. This would look even nicer if the flip-flops were a kind like Teva or some material other than plastic.

I'm chuckling at the idea of a guy in my "dressy" rhinestone embellished flip flops at dinner..... 🙂

I don't know about Chateau Bordeaux, but my husband has never been out of place eating anywhere in Cruz Bay in a polo shirt (un-tucked), decent shorts, and nicer flip flops (no embellishments, haha).

"Dressy" flip-flops are just fine on St John for a nice dinner. I've never felt out of place on STJ with them on in a nice restaurant.

I always bring a pair of dressy flip-flops for nice restaurants and try to wear a nice pair of capris and a flowy tropical blouse.

I'm sure a guy would be fine with some nice leather sandals/flip-flops, linen or khaki pants and a collared (i.e. golf) or light button-down shirt. I would not reccomend Tevas or other sport sandals!

Think Carribean elegance!

Teva makes sandals that are not sport sandals. i.e. brown suede flip-flops, etc. for men (and ladies).

However, I think even the sport sandals would be fine.
