Are taxies easy to get back to the ferry from Cinnamon Bay?

Do they rent snorkal gear at Cinnamon Bay and if so what is the cost?

Are there lockers at Cinnamon Bay?

Sorry Matt,

With the hurricane, we haven't been on the board as much. Taxi's are very easy to get, in fact many are parked at the entrance/exit to Cinnamon Bay. Cinnamon is my favorite so far of the beaches on St. John. I don't know of cost of snorkle gear. Sorry. Not sure of lockers, although as far as safety goes, leave important stuff in your locker in your hotel and just bring what you need for the beach. If you want to look up more info on Cinnamon Bay go to www.cinnamonbay.com. Have fun!!!

Matt,

I went to the website myself and they do have coin operated locker's as well as safety deposit boxes - the latter which may be for guests staying at Cinnamon Bay. Snorkle gear is also available for rent there. Do check the website for times of operation and other good info. Can't wait to hear of you vacation experience when you get back. Don't forget about us!

Hello Matt,

Its easy to get taxis from Cruz Bay (where the ferry comes in) as they basically line up/wait right at the end of the dock. Cinnamon Bay has a taxi stand/waiting area for taxis so as mentioned no problems there either. Also at Cinnamon Bay are restrooms, a small convience store, open-air restaurant, rental equipment and a great beach!

There are lockers up near the Tree Lizzard Restaurant, near where the taxis let you off.

Matt -

I believe snorkel gear is $5 for the complete set and you have to pay a 25 dollar deposit fee which you will get back when you return your snorkel gear. We just got back about a week ago from there - and I know that is the price at Trunk Bay and I am pretty sure the same price there.

I was at Cinnamon last week and they have lockers, rental gear, snack bar, dressing rooms, showers, etc. (and most far enough from the beach that you can't see anything but the gear shop). Taxis waiting at the dock for arriving ferries to take you where you want to go and taxi return parking area at Cinnamon. HOWEVER, the workers at Cinnamon told me they were closing the facilities from Sept 1 to Oct 4 so if you are going during this time be aware there may limited or no facilities available. It appears closings are hit and miss during Sept over much of St. John. What a great beach.
