Cingular tells me my cell phone will have coverage on much of STX. Does anyone have any experience with using their Cingular cell phones on the island? Thanks! Four sleeps...wahoooo
We use Cingular and it works almost everywhere on STX. The only really dead spot I notice is From Cane Bay to Carambola.

There's another dead spot going out toward Divi.....real dead.
Cingular is hit and miss....and be sure and check your bill to make sure at some weird point you don't get towered over to the BVIs and charged an arm and a leg.
When we lived on STX it was in a little valley - I couldn't talk on the cell phone in the house, just had to go on the front porch with the no-see-ums and face north....or occasionally it was east or west....lol! For the most part, though, your reception will be good, but as stateside, there are pockets where it just flat won't work.
