Sheesh, talk about sour grapes and a one-sided point of view. Some of us happen to like movies, me for one, and yes I moved here for the great scenery....but come on dude - there's more to life than pretty scenery!!!!!

Steve - FYI - yes there are theaters and they do very often have same day openings of big films on the same day/weekend as in the states. Then of course there are some movies that probably wouldn't "sell" here and don't make it - Phantom of the Opera being one just recently.

My apologies for my narrow view. While I can understand a 'local' desire to have such amenities, I guess I wonder why someone on vacation would want to spend time in the movie theater rather than spend time getting to know the area. After all, once the lights go out one movie theater is pretty much like any other IMO.
Of course, I may have been too quick to assume Steve was going to be on vacation.
