We're coming to St Thomas in 9 days! But who's counting! I enjoy a good cigar when I'm on vacation and had a couple of questions. Are there any good cigar stores on St Thomas? Are their prices better than state side? Should I bring my own or can I find a good variety on the island?
Tobacco Discounters is in the Port of Sale Mall (right next to the Havensight Mall) and their phone number is 340 774-2256. You could give them a call and see what they have. Cheers!
Tobacco Discounters near Havensight Mall has a large variety, and they run specials periodically. You can buy many cigars individually or by the box.
In town, A.H. Riise has a humidor, and their brands are listed on their website http://www.ahriise.com. I think they carry a few brands that Tobacco Discounter doesn't, and they sell more full boxes.
The Captain's Corner store on Main St also has a humidor, and their big signs on the front of the store say they have Ashton, Romeo y Juliet, etc.
Even if you bring your own, you might want to see if they have something you can't easily find in your area, especially since you can buy them individually to try one. The VI rum cigar is a popular souvenir for cigar smokers.
You can always take a trip over to the BVI's and get some Cuban cigars.
