I tried to send you an email, but couldn't input a message for some reason. What kind of boxes? What are you hoping to-do with them?

You obviously know more about what's going on in town than I but is that Cigar/Smoke store in Havensight/Port of Sale still in operation? I would imagine they throw out a lot of cigar boxes during the course of business but I'm also curious as to what the OP is looking for. Cigar availability here is strictly from the US and the DR and I can't imagine any value attached to the discarded boxes. But, one never knows ....
STT, many people use them to make musical instruments like guitars and kalimbas. There's even a music festival for the guitars. Some people also make purses. Elizabeth Jane's in Red Hook had some beautiful purses last year.

Who'd a thunk? Thanks for the info!
There is a posting on the Relocation Board from someone who is trying to sell cigar boxes. They have over 300 of them You may want to check that board.
Hi everybody
I have a hobby called marquetry which is making designs with thin veneers of exotic woods. I want to try covering some cigar boxes and then put compass roses on the top.
it's all just for fun and maybe gifts for friends and family.
thanks

I have boxes. I'll inventory them tomorrow and will contact smokinjoe.
The Tobacco Discounter store near Havensight sells boxes, too. Prices start at $1. I bought one yesterday that I may use as a picture frame or photo box.
