We are getting married next spring in St. John at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church. Has anyone been and could please provide us with feedback? Thank you very much.

An extremely special place

My wife and I returned this year especially to do Holy Week - called the trip Pilgrimage to Paradise

The acoustics are amazing. There are three or four ladies that seem to run the church but my do they have voices. It is a mission so the priest come from STT or they are visiting from the states.

You know most the of the time when you go on vacation - church really does not seem that important in the big scheme of things - lets just get away from the routine.

OLMC is just the opposite - I look forward to it as part of the vacation. Easter was a 2 1/2 hour experience that I will never forget.

Here is our trip report : Pilgrimage to Paradise

If you need folks to sit on the groom or the bride's side let me know I would be more than happy to attend 😉

Congratulations!

I remember being down for Ash Wednesday and driving by the priest was out next to the road giving ashes to any one who wanted so I stuck my head out and got my blessing. I told my mom that I had got ashes while on Vaca she was impressed never told her that I stuck my head out the window of a jeep and I had a beer in one hand.LOL
