I read in another thread that due to the high surf from the "Christmas Winds" that the beach size reduces. Which beaches does this effect and during which times of the year? It is as a significant a reduction as it sounds? Thanks, Carla 😉

I read that it was Gibney beach. Is that the only beach this happens to or do beaches like hawksnest and cinnamon have the same problems? Thanks, Carla 😉

Carla: When there is a storm in the North Atlantic, which is usually in the winter months, it can cause large waves on the north shores of all of our islands. This can cause a temporary change in beach patterns. If there is a swell, you won't want to be at that beach, as the waves are not conducive to swimming and snorkeling. If you see huge waves on the north side, just go to a south facing beach. Easy! 🙂
