does anyone know of air carriers from both Detroit, and LAX that are reasonably priced to fly to St. John.

try new AF search aggregator kayak.com (cant book thru site - just search) has some pretty nifty features to narrow completed search by airport, time of departure, and price.

You can't fly to St. John.. it's St. Thomas that you fly into.

Andrea, as TH said, you fly into St Thomas (STT) then take a ferry over to St John. Prices will vary depending of time of year.

Im looking for a reasonable fair into St Croix for 2 people and two Chihuahuas (5 lbs each).

Try Spirit to San Juan , then a salt spray flight from there. Cape? American Eagle?
