We are planning to travel to St. Thomas/St. john for a week on 2/12/2004. What are the good cheap accomodation options? We are looking for studio or 1BR condo with small kitchen. I was told by one of my friends that I can find them in the range of $100-125/night, but nothing of that sort is coming up on expedia/travelocity.
Should I look some other web-site?
Thanks

We also need to plan our days while we are in St. Thomas. We plan on renting the car for the stay.
1 day we plan on going to St. John (car ferry)
1 day to "The Baths".
What other places do you recommend to go with kids? I have 3 & 8 years old.
Hi!
Keep looking on the net for accomodations! I found a 1 bedroom cottage for $665/wk. It is on the North sideof St. Thomas, near Magen's Bay. I put "vacation condo - USVI" in the search engine and gots lots of sites to look at. A good one is usvi.net.
Also, depending on where you are located, try onetravel.com for airline fares. They beat the pants off expedia, travelocity and the home pages of the individual airlines.
Good Luck!
By the way, Can't wait to enjoy the sun and surf. Will be there 2/2 to 2/10!
Try the breakfast club in st Croix. It is around 59.00 all year round. It is in town in Christiansted and quite lovely.
Hello,
For less expensive accomodations on St. Thomas look at
www.mafolie.com
www.emeraldbeach.com
www.villablancahotel.com
www.caribbeachresort.com
On St. John look at
www.serendipstjohn.com

Do you plan to do the Baths by charter or by ferry??
Other kid friendly things - Coral World and snorkel at Coki Beach; Magens Bay get small sand toys for castle making; Emerald Beach for swimming/playing, lunch at the Palms which is at Emerald Beach resort and then let the kids play a little bit on the swings, slides and other things at the kids play area which is just at the very end of the beach along the main road - there are also usually lots of iguanas laying on the rocks close to the play lot; Paradise Point tramride might be fun or if you have a car just drive up there - they have a bird show the kids might enjoy.
Have a great time.

try mount victory camp on st croix. its built on the side of the mountain in the rain forest and all the cabins/tents were carved by hand by the owners. they live off their own garden and farm, and they have a toroise sanctuary. pretty cheap, and they have baresite camping if you really want to be cheap (like me) check it out: www.mtvictorycamp.com
