We are traveling to St. John in August and would like to either charter our own boat or get on a charter to see the Baths, Indian Caves and Foxy's. We rented our own boat on our honeymoon and decided that next time would be best to have someone else worry about driving so we could relax! Does anyone have any recommendations for boat trips out of the Cruz Bay area? We are staying right above Hawksnest.

Also, we found a place in Tortola where you can swim with the dolphins--my step-daughter's dream. Has anyone ever done this? If so, what is the best way to get there?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Mirella,

You could try http://www.stthomasboatrentals.com for renting a boat and request a captain so you don't have to do the driving.

Getting to Tortola - you can take the ferry. Scroll to the top of this very page and click on Ferry Schedules. You will find the BVI schedules there with prices & information. Then take taxis on Tortola to get around.
