*We will be visiting STT in December as cruise ship passengers. Just wondered if downtown is within walking distance from where the cruise ships dock or will a taxi be required? Thanks for your time.

Taxi is $3/person, one way. Walking is about a mile walk (flat land) along the water. Can't miss it. Take your pick. 🙂

Hello Jennifer,

There are three docking/anchoring areas.

If you are docked in Havensight then Marty's answer applies. Its the more popular dock.

In December we often get 5,6,7 cruise ship days which means some ships are at anchorage in the harbor and/or docked in Crown Bay. If you are at anchorage you will be tendered right into Charlotte Amalie. If you are in Crown Bay you will want to take a taxi to Charlotte Amalie.
