WHY DOES IT SAY THAT IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO STROLL AROUND CHARLOTTE AMALIE AT NIGHT. I AM STAYING AT THE HOLIDAY INN IN ST THOMAS

Most everything is closed at night. Opportunists are out at night looking for unsuspecting tourists and locals alike to rob.That's why. You can stroll on the waterfront. There are recommended areas you can go, ask the front desk.
