Hello there, 🙂

Hoping someone can give some ideas for alcohol purchase at either the airport or east end for our room. My husband and I arrive via airport to St. Thomas this week. We are staying on East end about 2 miles from Red Hook at Elysian. Can anyone recommend the best grocery or store to buy champagne, beer & wine for our room that may be in walking distance? Also, we are flying in from Miami and I am wondering if we can buy a nice bottle of champagne or alcohol at the airport before grabbing a cab?

You can buy alcohol and probably champagne at the airport in the luggage area.
There is no store within walking distance of the Elysian.
Marina Market in Red Hook has a wide wine and beer selection -- Food Center which is about 2 mi. W of the Elysian is probably less expensive - if you will have a rental car and need more quantity there is a CostuLess mid island - taxi? Red Hook is your best bet.

Plaza Extra in Tutu Park Mall has an excellent selection and their prices (and those at CostULess) are less than other places. Note that at CostULess you can't buy six packs of beer, only cases.

Plaza Extra is a great recommendation and well worth the trip even by taxi.
