Sorry if this has been answered before but... is there cell phone service (Verizon) on St. John?
thanks!
I can get service right in Cruz Bay, and a little bit in the North Shore Road, but that's about it for me. No way in Coral Bay.
Thanks Joann!
I have just stopped my contract (it was done July 27) at Verizon. Verizon does not have any service really available to their customers any further than P.R. So, we had to go to ATT - which we have always had good service with. They are now also Cingulair. ( Is that a 'C' or an 'S' it's begins with)? So, I got to keep my old phone number I've had for 12 years and switched to ATT. My husband did too.
I don't know about any others' than ATT and Cingulair. We got a family plan, free mobile to mobile ATT/Cingulair and Rollover minutes, 59.99 per month. Not bad at 'tal. Free nights/weekends.
So, that 's that - we spent a long time worried about needing a new cell to use on the Island.
sesf.
Verizon will charge you roaming from the time you get off the plane or on the plane if you're landed.
Cingular, the new ATT, has more gov't contracts than any other cell service. Chances are, you'll get better service anywhere with ATT.
ATT formerly Cingular and Sprint are the most popular and better providers here in the islands and offer the best deals. There have been several posts on this subject so do a "search" on this forum for more info. Cheers!
I refuse to do a search. I will constantly bring it up as a new item. I am a lazy fellow.
We know that promo!! Actually, the service I get on my Centennial phone far surpasses ATT or Sprint around here.
