parothead your wrong... would you turn down an a cheaper airline ticket if you were a frequent flyer? someone who didnt fly as often would have to pay more? wouldent that be the same as a "local discount"? ... would you turn down a free complimentary drink at at a bar as a thank you for your continued or frequent patronage when the one time customer next to you would have to pay for all of his? these discounts go further than just discounts for locals, its also marketing to have locals chat up and recommend these excursions... your opinion is flat out wrong and w/o getting into personal bashing...go spend your 5 to 6 thousand a year somewhere else, because these practices will and do continue in all aspects of business in the usvi.

We go the first week in December, Christmas winds are present but not that bad. Cinnamon Bay Beach can get very windy and sand blows all over the place. Still one of our favorite beaches. Some of the bays are protected like Francis. the water is warm, we snorkel all day long and never felt cold. Also, we went to the Baths and the Caves using Cruz Bay watersports. It was a great day. If I remember, it was $125 pp. They are located at the Westin. Double check the prices. It included lunch on the boat and beer and rumpunch. Met a lot of nice people on the trip.
