Hi are there any travelers from Oklahoma or Texas traveling to Carnival?

Hey CoCo,

We are from Oklahoma (Oklahoma City), Traveling down during the STT Carnival. I know there is another Carnival on STJ in June I believe, not sure which one you are referring to 🙂

We'll be staying on STT, but visiting other islands as well. Our dates there are 04/23 - 04/30.

coc and catmanok: If you ask discretely, you will find that there are a good number of Texans and Oklahomans living in the Virgin Islands... It is a heck of a sight here during Texas-OU weekend...

We did not really plan our trip around "Carnival". We found out after booking our trip that it was going on. We have looked at the calender at all of the various events going on different days, but not to sure we'll actually set time aside to go to any of the activities, well, besides the fireworks over the harbor one evening (we have that down as a definite maybe).

If anyone has ever been during Carnival, or any locals that would like to chime in, and comment on some of the Must See's during Carnival, that would be great.

We figure we'll run into it all week while there anyway.

catmanok - like you, we found out about it after we booked. The steel pan and calypso competitions sound like fun, and I've been told the Food Fair on Wed 4/25 is a great thing, not to be missed.

From Edmond and we will be staying on St. John in a house over their Carnival from 6-30 too 7-7-07. We have been on this Island the same week for three years in a row and actually we married on Trunk Bay two years ago.
