Has anyone stayed at Cruz views on STJ? We have several families going there in June for a wedding and would like to know how far it is from the beach. We will all rent cars, but still would like to know if we will be able to walk to the beach or to town. Also, any suggestions for a cook out? I would like for it to have local color and great fun! I am also looking to buy several cases of wine for the wedding. Any suggestions for shopping? I need a name of the store so I can contact them before we get there. I need to know if they will have enough on hand. I think I would really like some local wine if this is possible.

There is a wonderful (fairly new) wine shop next to Starfish Market.
I am sure someone has a link.
A good selection, but I am absoultely positive there is no USVI wine sold there.

However, I am sure there are some folks who have to make mango or papaya wine on the island.
Little fruit, little natural sugar and some yeast we got us a wedding wine

have a great visit

Check out Gary with Mixology Warehouse. 340-714-5985.

He doesn't have a store front anymore due to TSA regs about liquid carry-on, but he still does banquet orders and he delivers.

Let me know if you need anything else for your wedding.

You can contact katilady events at the above link. They can provide cases of wine and plan a beach bbq if dates are available.

You can walk to town from Cruz Views but the walk back is uphill. Beaches are too far to walk. Where's the wedding going to be at?

You CAN walk from Cruz Views downtown but I'd only recommend walking DOWN! Its very steep and a long enough walk that we did it once. Just once! You need a car to get to any beaches fro Cruz Views.

We walked down and we walked back up late one night. Completely sobered and sweated us up by the time we made it back.
Only once.

It's called Caribbean Vineyards, there is a red and a white. Check out their website for information: http://www.caribbeanvineyards.com/index.php
