Evening all! We're thinking of booking the Caribbean Breeze condo at Gentle Breeze Beach (I think that's the name). Does anyone have any experience or opinions about this place? Does anyone know how many units there are? Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hello divapam,

Gentle Breeze Beach... maybe you mean Gentle Winds Beach... on St. Croix? If so, Gentle Winds is a beachfront condo/resort development. There are 66 units on a big estate, 60 acres. Northshore of St. Croix, very close to Salt River.

Hi - Caribbean Breeze is a really nice condo in the "I" building, which is the closest building to the beach. The Vreelands seem like very nice people. We have spoken with Kent and thought about renting one of their villas but they only rent Sat to Sat on thier properties and we like to stay a week plus and not fly on the weekends so we have been unable to rent from them. We founbd a great villa management company on island and have bene renting through them - we are returning in April for our third time.

Gentle Winds is a very nice condo resort. Beautiful beach, HUGE pool, nice little snack bar. Grounds are very well kept. We try to stop there on each trip when we are on the north side just to enjoy the view and a drink the snack bar. We go on a weekday and just tell the gatekeeper that we are thinking about staying there and may walk around and have a drink - never a problem.

There are individual owners and some units are more updated than others. CB is a nice one, with a great view and a path right through the hedge to the beach. The only negative thing I could say about GW is that I think the north side location is kind of "out there" - we prefer the east end because there are so many restaurants and other calm beaches to visit. There are some nice smaller villas on the east end, too - a few with their own beach access.

This is a picture I took last April when we stopped at GW - taken from the parking lot, looking over the pool and beach bar to the beach. (Click to enlarge) BTW, lots of GW fans over on the St. Croix forum of Trip Advisor.

Happy planning!

Thanks so much for the info. We also prefer to travel weekdays, but have decided to give it a shot. The condo certainly does look nice. Haven't booked it yet, but will do so soon. Again, thank you for the input.
