In a couple of weeks we will be vacationing in St. John and have rented a car. I was wondering what are the requirements for car seats for children. My daughter will be 4 years old, I know in NY they require a booster seat for her.

Also are umbrellas and chairs available for rent at the popular beaches and if so about how much. Otherwise would it be cheaper to buy one when we get there.

The rental places have the seats for your children. Some charge for them, others don't.

Chairs are available to guests at the Westin's and Caneel's beaches, but I haven't seen them on other beaches for rent, like on STT. Umbrellas are not very popular here, so I wouldn't plan on finding them for rent.

Anyone else?
