I'm coming to St. Thomas for two weeks this summer. What is the best place in terms of price and reliability to rent a car? I need a minivan as there will be six of us.

Most car rental agencies are pretty good. The only thing you need to look for is IF you want to take the car ferry to STJ for a day, then do not rent from Hertz! When you rent, make sure this isn't an issue!

Getting a car thru hotwire.com is the cheapest IMO. You don't know which company it is until after you book, tho. And you have to prepay.

Just rented from Thrifty & Daniel was great. You need to call when you get your bags. They are a minute away. He gave us a discount & then upgraded us from economy to a jeep with no extra cost. You can take the car on the ferry!
