There are many entries on this board about car rentals on STJ, just search from the top "search" and you'll find many recommendations. Mostly, its a matter of for how long you want the rental and what type of car you need for the size of your group and/or need for 4 wheel drive.. We've used Conrad Suttons several times for a full week rental and the service and car were great. But on our next trip in November we only want a car for 4 days so we are going through another rental place that has a lower minimum # of days. We've never stayed at one of the villas on the steep hills that require 4 wheel drive so again, search under car rentals and you'll get a ton of info.
