Where would be the best car company to rent from for a 4 door Jeep Wrangler? We maybe looking for a minivan if 6 people come.

We used Amailie Car Rental in STT and loved them! They are waiting for you at the airport when you arrive! A few other people have also recommended them on this site. Check them out.

We recommend Amalie Car Rental also. We were very pleased with the vehicle, service and convenience.

You didn't say which island, but I'll assume St. Thomas.

They get "beat up" sometimes here on the board, but Budget has always come through for me. Even when there's an issue with the original booking, they go beyond the required solution and have taken care of us.

Also - just be careful on what you book. I'm telling you now that not all cars are equal. With luggage, a standard Jeep is tough. We rented a Durango for 6 adults (seats 7). Thank goodness Budget was out of Durangos and substitued a Wrangler (soft top) and another 4 wheel drive hardtop for our party. NO WAY we'd have gotten 6 adults and all our luggage in a single Durango.

We're trying our best to get down again this Winter, and will rent from Budget again this year. Excellent prices - sometimes apathetic service, but they always come through with a car - and they allow you to take the car ferry to St. John.

Good Luck! Have Fun!
