Hey All,

Please tell me if I rent a car in St. Thomas and drive it over to St. John, will the car still be insured. I *think* I heard somewhere that the insurance requirements vary by island.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

It totally depends on the rental company you use. Some allow transport to STJ and others don't. The ones that don't allow it, you still CAN, but you won't have any service or support (including insurance) from the company, therefore it is not recommended to take a car from that company to STJ.

Which companies will allow for use on both islands?
