I know this is a topic that is asked a lot for so many different reasons..... We are wanting to rent a vehichle in St John that is downtown that lets us park in their lot when we are in town.
A few years ago we rented from Courtesy Car Rental in St John and it was great because at that time it was very close to Woody's. I know they have moved and really we weren't all that impressed with them. The guy that checked us out when we returned the car said there was a a scratch that wasn't there when we rented it. I am not sure how you could tell because there was so many scratches, dents and other issues with the vehichle. It ended up all fine in the end, but didn't leave a good taste for our day of leaving paradise.
Hi Lisa - my wife and I use Conrad Sutton on our annual visits. His lot is in downtown and his car renters can park there for free. It's a good location. Being a regular message board reader, I have noticed a few negative comments posted over the years about Mr. Sutton. Others have found him a bit gruff, but we have good experiences and go back each year. We treat him with respect and kindness and receive the same. With any of the rental companies we have found it critical to make sure all scratches are documented on day one, many places do try to assign blame. I'm sure others will weigh in with their recommendations; hope you have fun on your trip!
Conrad is fine. As misterduffy said, treating anyone with respect goes a long way. Treat them like a clerk and don't be surprised with the result. A sincere "Good morning" carries a lot of weight where ever you travel.
I have always used this place and have always been very happy.
