My daughter and I will spend three days at Maho bay camp. Last year, it was a pretty long trip to get there (plane, taxi, ferry, taxi) with lots of waiting in between rides. I wonder if renting a car in St Thomas, then ferry to Cruz bay would be a better/simpler way to go? We travel a long way for a short stay, so just looking to maximize time at Maho.

The car barge to St. John from St. Thomas is 48 bucks round trip. You could always just go to St.ohn and rent a car there, C & C Car Rental has good rates.
