How far is it from the STT airport to the car freey (barge?), for taking the car over to STJ. Just weighing my options, thinking it would be easier on the way back from STJ having a car at my conveiniece as far as getting to the airport, shopping for a day in STT or maybe fishing charter out of STT. Never know what you might end up doing or needing while on vacation. Thanks for any help and advice.

Would be about a half hours drive to the ferry.

Ryan, A round trip on the car ferry to St. John is 52.00??
Are they the only game in town? Seems kinda steep to me.

There is a car ferry with plam tree on it, I forgot the name of it, that charged us $35 last tues. but, I was told that they were going to be charging $50 but mid-month. This was told to me from the guy running the general so maybe he was just trying to justify his cost. who knows? they said since the gas prices are up so high they have to raise there prices. He said the people ferry from red hook to cruz bay was going up from $3 to $6. Just ask before you get on because once you are on you have no choice.
