Is there any snorkeling at Caneel Bay?

From what I've read, I wouldn't expect it to be the best snorkeling on St. John. But, just curious if there is ANY snorkeling at Caneel Bay.

I think your are correct it wouldnt be the best snokling you can find. We went to Honeymoon beach (a short walk from Caneel) and saw a lot of fish while swimming. The beach is pretty nice and almost deserted. You might want to try there!

Caneel Bay does not have very good snorkeling. If you are staying at the resort, take the walk to Honeymoon as suggested but make sure you rent a car or take a taxi to one of the many beaches outside the resort.
Hawksnest, Trunk, Maho and Francis are all easily accessed by taxi. Waterlemon & Salt Pond are short rides by car and the Lamshure Bays are available with 4WD.
