We are going to be on St. John March 3-10 renting a villa and we have never been to Caneel bay resort. I was wondering if anyone knew if you can visit the resort, hang out at their beaches, maybe do lunch and enjoy the grounds if your not a guest of the resort. I heard somewhere that as long as you buy a few drinks or have lunch/dinner you can enjoy the grounds.

Your parking fee of $20 can be redeemed in purchases either at the restaurant/bar or in the retail store on site. You won't have access to all the beaches - I believe only one. That's perfectly understandable - guests of Caneel pay a high price for a certain degree of privacy.

Zozo's is one of the best, if not the best restaurant on St John, and is located at the Sugar Mill at Caneel Bay (Zozo'a was previously at Gallows Point up until a couple of years ago). It is always our favorite special restaurant on STJ (were fortunate to celebrate our 30th anniversary there 2 years ago, and have been there 6 times over the past 6 years (both locations). Be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible, on the rail, to enjoy the amazing sunsets and then the lights of St Thomas (I would call tomorrow, I usually make reservations there 1 month in advance). Get there a little early and stroll around Caneel Bay before dinner, or enjoy a cocktail at Zozo's before dining there. Enjoy!
