Does anyone know if cars can go on either of the ferries to St. John ... if so are reservations needed and how much?

Thanks a bunch - Pat

No reservations are needed for the car ferry. But you must return from St. John on the same company's ferry as it is a round trip ticket. Entry to the ferries are on a first come, first serve, play chicken while driving in reverse method.

Pat,

When you ask if cars can go on either ferry... I am thinking you mean Red Hook or Charlotte AMalie.... the answer is No, the car ferry only travels to and from Red Hook. And there are a few companies, they all charge the same, driver and passenger can travel with their car. You can find the ferry schedule on this web site... go to the home page www.vinow.com and under frequently asked info there is a link for ferry info... click there and you will find all the info. on ferries in the USVI.
