We'll be going out on the 28th with Captain Kevin and Born to Rhumb. He's going to pick us up on Dock A near Molly Mallones.

Where do we park for the day, in case we can't get a parking spot on the street?

Can we park at the ferry dock, pay the $10.00, walk over and not worry that we're not taking the ferry?

What about the underground parking lot. Can we park there for free for the day if we're going out on the boat?

Thanks.

Connie:

Unless I'm mistaken the signs in the underground parking area indicate 3 hours max.....I assume that applies to day time parking (at night we were never bothered). You can park at the ferry dock parking area......what does it matter if you use the ferry or not? We park there, then go to the Subway for food before going to STJ.....and we never had a problem.

Street parking is the best if you can find it.

Street parking may be the best, but I believe they are trying to cut much of it out. There are two, and soon a third, parking areas in Red Hook. I don't think they care where you go when you park, as long as you pay the money! I would check with the charter company to see if they have arrangements wit AYH for parking for their tenants if they are such.

Thanks for that information. We'll probably end up at the ferry dock parking if we can't get a spot on the street.

Connie: There is a great parking lot up the hill behind Marina Market. It will cost you something like $10 a day, but they watch your car, and WASH your car if you want!

Hey East...that's a pretty good deal, we'll see where we end up. With 3 jeeps, 12 people, we're always jockeying for positions wherever we go.
