We arrive in to St. Thomas at 4:40pm (Sat. Nov. 21) and want to take the 6pm Native Son Ferry from Red Hook to Road Town.
How long is the taxi ride from the Airport to Red Hook? Can we make it?
In theory, you shouldn't have a problem....BUT that is if everything goes smoothly. First you have to assume the flight is on time. If you are checking baggage, that could really slow you down. Then there is traffic. It's a little too close for my comfort, but maybe someone else can give you some insight. I would say that the biggest factor on whether you can make it or not depends on the first two things, the on time arrival of your flight and whether or not you will have checked bags.
Julie's right. It IS a little close but one advantage is that it's a Saturday so you won't be hitting the commuter traffic. Everything else being equal, the ride should be about 20 minutes. Others may have other suggestions but you might want to pre-arrange with a private taxi in order to avoid stops at resorts along the way. One suggestion is Rachel who is highly dependable. Her number is 340-771-2986.
Thanks to both of you for the advice. I will call Rachel to see what we can set up. Does she have an email address by chance?
She does not. I have been trying to convince her to get one but she just won't. I almost got her to agree to let me set up a website for her but she said that she is busy enough from referral business and doesn't need to advertise.
Just give her a call and tell her that Dominica says hi and misses her
That is sweet! Thanks, I will call her.
