PC Paradise (on STT and STX) is an Apple dealership and apparently carries ipods so maybe iphones too? Their phone # on STT is 340-774-8905.
I bought my Iphone stateside at our local AT&T store. I don't think that you need to go to an Apple store to buy one. The USVI's are part of my nationwide plan. For an extra $5.99 a month you can add an international plan. I have heard on the relocation forum that people have incurred roaming charges while on St. John if their phone picks up the British towers, but were able to have these charges removed after speaking with customer service.
The price for an Iphone is $399.00. They do not give incentives if you sign up for a new plan and they also don't offer insurance on the phone. I'd recommend buying a very good holster that is shock absorbent.
I didn't think PC Paradise sold iphones. As I recall, AT&T wasn't permitting the 340 area code for iphones so PC Paradise wasn't selling them. Perhaps something has changed since I last looked into the matter.
The sell them at Radio Shack at the Sunny Isle Shopping Center in St. Croix. There area Radio Shacks in St. Thomas also.
