If I were to camp in cinammon bay, How much of a hassle would it be to enjoy St. Thomas. I know about the ferry, but is it worth staying in a hotel on St. Thomas rather than camping on St. John? I want to enjoy the nightlife in St. Thomas but the last ferry back would be at Midnight... will this be a significant problem?
Thanks -Jake

It would be easy to ferry to St. Thomas for the day. Night-time outings would be more difficult - although there is no reason you could not hit happy hours which are usually early 5,6,7 pm... that would be fun. If you wanted to enjoy the later scene - that usually starts late - 10,11,12 pm in some cases, it would be more difficult. It would be easier to go to the nightlife facilities in Red Hook - as you would be right there by the ferry - so could party right up till the time you have to get the ferry back, where as if you went into Charlotte Amalie you have to leave enough time to take a taxi to Red Hook. Otherwise you could spend the last couple days of yoru trip at an inn or bed and breakfast on St. Thomas and enjoy the island and the nightlife.
