My husband and I are leaving to STJ in 3 days (cannot wait!!!! 🙂 and will be renting a villa. There will be a phone at the villa from which we can make local phone calls. I was wondering if it was possible to buy a calling card somewhere in STT/STJ so we can call US from the villa phone? Any suggestions are very much appreciated! -Julie 🙂
They're all over the place from small convenience stores to larger supermarkets so you won't have any trouble finding one. You could also buy one stateside before you leave. Cheers and have a wonderful visit!
Thank you sooo much!!! 🙂
Kiska, get one before you leave, they're sooooo convenient and less costly then using your cell phone. I got one from Sprint last May and I still used it in November. Well worth it.
I use an ATT card I bought at Sam's Club in the states as my primary and sole long distance service on my house land line -- less than $.03 a min.
I just buy a $5 card the first time I hit a market, they are near the check out.
Cheers, RickG
I was going to buy one in Chicago (where we are from) but then thought what if it did not work in STJ but now that you guys are telling me that it is ok, I will definitely get one - as you suggested either a Sprint one or ATT.
We are leaving in a day!!!! I cannot wait!!! It is below zero and a blizzard in Chicago today!!!
I will definitely share after we come back and thanks again for all of your help and advise!!! 🙂
