Anybody in St Thomas, around Red Hook, know Fair Wind Sailing/Lessons. They do weekly sailing lessons out of Red Hook and also offers their fleet for private charters to the BVI's. We were thinking about chartering one of their catamarans and would hire a captain. I cannot find any information on them except for their web site and a few sailing lesson reviews. www.fairwindsailing.com Does anyone have information on their sail boats or have heard anything about their charters. Their pricing is just impressive for what we want. Just thought someone in the area might have some information.

Thanks

Their website has everything you need to know. Boat descriptions and captain bios. I've met the instructors and have seen their boats. They are your standard rentals. Come down, drink the rum, and have a good time.

Thanks Trapper9782.

Their website in very informative but I couldn't find any past history. Was wondering if they really exist other than sailing lessons. Just wanted to know the conditions of their boats since they do not go through Brokers like most charter company's. Would hate to get there and it be a wreck.
Does anyone live in the St Thomas near Red Hook? I guess they are in Vessup Bay.
Am really looking for a Catamaran, owned by the captain and provides charters with his or her boat.

Thanks

Do you have your heart set on FairWind Sailing?

Have you checked out CharterDigest.com? They have an iPhone app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/charterdigest-yacht-charter/id549179148?ls=1&mt=8. On Facebook yesterday I noticed they are planning to release the iPad app today. Here's their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/charteryachts. You can watch the demo video and there's a link to the iPad app. I just tried it but it doesn't work yet.

Hope this helps.

We spent a week on Breanker catamaran and would recommend it to everyone. The captains, Kristian and Marianne remain great friends to this day. They prepared wonderful meals 3 times a day and we never went without a drink in our hands. We got to determine where we went and how long we stayed there. I believe their website is http://www.breanker.com . I am not affiliated with them and this is not a commercial solicitation, just had a wonderful time. I wrote a detailed blog post about the entire trip on our website. If you are interested in reading it, message me and I will send you the link.
