No one has mentioned the bus on STJ. I understand it goes around the whole island. Is it worth taking? Is there a reason not to use it?
It certainly is not as convenient as a rental or taxi since you are tied to their schedule(?) and routes. I suppose you could get limited use if you have plenty of time and are willing to spend it getting from here to there. I would rather spend my time on the beaches or trails rather than at bus stops and hiking along roads.
As far as I know the bus only goes from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay. There was talk this summer of them starting a route on the North Shore but I don't think it has happened yet.
Bus runs from Cruz Bay through Coral Bay to Salt Pond.
