Hi...wow thanks for being available for questions!

My cruise ship will be at port in Charlotte Amalie and I would like to know how to get to Buck Island for snorkling purposes. The shore excursions only give us an hour or so and I want at least 3 hours there.

Do you have any suggestions for who I can contact for a "tour" including transportation from Charlotte Amalie to Buck Island, snorkeling equipment rental, lunch and water? Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks so much!
Pam

Hello Pam,

The excursions to Buck Island (the small one off of St. Thomas, there is another Buck Island off of St. Croix, the St. Croix Buck Island is the Marine Reserve) are pretty much cruise ship excursions. Many of other day sails go to St. John or little cays in that area or to the BVI islands.

Pamela (from VICL) do you know of any excursions besides the cruise ship affliated ones that go to Buck Island for private charter?

Islander,
Not specifically but I can check with some of our boats and find out. Pam, I will put out the word and have someone email you.
Thanks!
Pamela.
