If you will be visiting St. Croix this is a lovely day trip. Either Mile Marker or Big Beard run trips to Buck Island and you should be happy with either.

If you are visiting St. Thomas or St. John, this is more than a day trip. You should consider taking the seaplane over and staying overnight.

On STT we have many trips to ~our~ Buck Island. Mostly 1/2 day trips for cruise passengers, but hotelguests are welcome, too.

Hi AGAIn Marty!! I will not be anywhere near STX apparently. I can't find my way out of a paper bag with a flashlight. Is there more than one Buck Island? How do the daytrips work? You sure are the best!!

The Buck Island just off of STX is world reknown for it's diving. Very good diving there. There is also a Buck Island just to the South of Charlotte Amalie harbor on STT. The day trips are mostly half days, and they consist of anywhere from 6 to 80 passengers, snorkeling, rum punch, snacks, etc. They usually pick up in Havensight, by the cruise ships. Most full-day sails don't go to Buck, as there are better places to go when you have a full day. You can do a 6 pass. trip, or a bigger one, like my favorite, New Horizons. They feed you a continental breaky, stop in 2 different locales for snorkeling, and have a full lunch. Open bar all day, of course. It's a great way to spend a day.
