What is the best boat service to go to Buck Island for both full day trips & half day trips? Also, how about sunset cruises? Boat trips around the island? Thanks
When I was in STT a few weeks ago, we chartered a catamaran out to Buck Island (although, I am told there are many Buck Islands down there so I'm assuming we are talking about the same one.)
Anyway, the catamaran is called "Castaway Girl". Excellent crew. Had a great time with them.
Good luck and have fun!
The Buck Island that Cole is speaking of goes to a small island that is close to where the cruise ships dock in St. Thomas... there is good snorkeling there...
Buck Island the National Park area (underwater) is off of St. Croix...
Bill which one are you wanting to go to??? Are you visiting St. Croix or St. Thomas??

Assuming that you are speaking of the Buck Island National Park off St. Croix, I have recommended Mile Mark (340-773-2628), specifically the 6-person trimaran with Capt. Tommy Maynard, many times. The folks that went all responded to me that they had a wonderful time. Mile Mark also has a 40-person glass bottom boat, but the trimaran is a real experience.
I went with the Mile Mark tours to buck Island on the glass bottom boat and had a wonderful time. Their were also other rentals available. We were told that the catamaran takes longer to get their from Christiansted but was very relaxing. So it depends on how much time you have available and how you want to spend it sailing vs.snorkeling.
