When I first started reading this message board I thought I saw that you must have the original "tag" on the meat or chicken, etc..that is brought into St. Thomas.

Our thoughts are to take ground beef and make the hamburgers before we go. If we just do that and seal it, is there going to be a problem?

Also, how about bringing snacks on board a plane with you. Can we bring our pretzels, chips and nuts with us? Will anybody give us problems?

Connie,
No problems bringing things down at all! Not to worry! Going back, you cannot take plants, fruits and things of that nature unless it is inspected at the Agricultural Center. Snacks are not a problem!

No one will give you a hard time for bringing snacks on the plane, but you might want to forget the nuts. The flight attendants might frown on that due to the severity of peanut allergies.

Just my two cents!

Hi Connie-

I never have tags on any of the meat I bring down, I think you should be perfectly fine.
