Does anyone know if they still do Karaoke at Bolongo on Thursday and Saturday? If so, I sure hope they replaced the KJ they had running it on Saturdays. He was not a good host at all....wish I could remember his name.

They sure do still have it.
I live in Bolongo right up from Iggies and I have to listen to this twice a week! urghhhh
The worst part is that it are the same songs and the same singers every week for over a year now....!

The host, I believe, is Jason Jones. And Captain Jay, HOW RIGHT YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to do really good Karaoke(is there such a thing?), the place on Sunday's is Castaway's Bar at the Beachcomber Resort in Lindberg Bay by the airport. They throw this HUGE B-B-Q and this local guy Darrell is the host. The place gets packed every Sunday and most of the singers are not too bad from what I've heard when I've been there for the B-B-Q. By the way, this is the best food deal going on the island on Sunday's. $18.95 for your choice of 2 meats(choose from steak, chicken and ribs) and all the fixins.

I don't mind the singers being bad, I have heard my share. It was the Saturday night host I did not like. Maybe he was trying to be funny but my husband and I thought he was just rude. I guess I will try it again since we will be staying at Bolongo.
