We are tentatively planning on staying in October of this year at Bolongo Bay Resort..anyone out there ever stay there?? If so please tell us how you liked it or what you didn't like. We have never been to the Caribbean before..and are still researching..any other info would be of great help..like is it worth it to rent a car? Sounds like a nightmare to me..not really sure that's worth it!

Never stayed at Bolongo but as for renting a car. I wouldn't stay there without one unless the only reason you are going is to stay at your resort. We travel all over the island and even ferry it over to St. John (from Red Hook). Wouldn't give up my own transportation for anything. We usually rent from Dependable Car Rental. They are very nice and have a web site if you have any questions.
