Ginger,

I think we talked about this earlier. Ocean Runner in Cruz Bay has top of the line power boats, of various lengths. The biggger the boat the more it costs. They don't do yachts and you don't need one. We rented a 26' boat with captian for $350 (I tipped him $100) this was the cost for the boat and captian, not per person. I think a better intenirary would be St. John and some of the BVIs.(take passports) Have lunch at the Willie T, and stop for a cocktail on the way back at Foxy's. Your guests will be impressed. Ask if Shay is available, but all of their people are good. If you really want to impress them have Shay prepare that evenings meal(if you are staying at a villa on STJ)

how far is it to bvi's i thought it was a long trip there ...we would rather be local in st john to enjoy the beaches and scenery if that is the case

They have boats bigger than 26'. But you really don't need much more that this. Picture two in the stern, two sitting in front of the bridge, two in the bow. Call and talk with them. When a boat is in motion (even a big one like the ferry) you don't want to walk around a lot. There are lots of cool bays/ beaches/cays on the North shore of STJ. (3 minutes between them.) The BVIs are closer and much more interesting to cruise around than STT in my opinion. 45 minutes from STJ to the Baths, (doesn't include checking in w/ customs in BVI...20 minutes) Not to be missed. From the baths to the Willie T 15 minutes. Willie T to Foxy's 35 minutes? Foxy's to Cruz Bay 20-30 minutes. (You may want to cruise around the islands in between. (Lovango, Thatch etc.
