Thinking of renting outboard and running over to Jost for the day in early Dec.,, How are the seas between St. John and Jost this time of year, Don't want to pound all the way over and back. Any comments?

I was there yesterday, and it was smooth as can be. We went from STT all the way to Virgin Gorda, the Willie T and Jost....all before 5 p.m. December might have some bigger waves, as yesterday was unusual. Usually 2-4 feet in Easterly swells, 80 degree water, Easterly Tradewind breze at 5-10 kts. Even in 4-6 footers, you can still do Jost fom STJ....just need to go a little slower.
